    Alicia brings an electrifying energy, passion, and creativity to her therapeutic interventions. She challenges clients to be devoted to their healing and growth in order to overcome obstacles. Alicia believes people reach their goals faster when they feel supported by a nonjudgmental therapist. She utilizes psychotherapy and other trauma-focused interventions, as well as various therapeutic modalities, including visual arts, music, and kinesthetic activities for young, restless clients.     Aaron Benard is a compassionate and skilled social worker dedicated to supporting individuals and communities in achieving mental health and personal growth. A proud graduate of the University of Michigan's Master of Social Work program, Aaron specializes inInter personal Practice, Substance Abuse, and Mental Health. Before pursuing his advanced degree, Aaron earned his Bachelor of Social Work from Eastern Michigan University, where he cultivated a deep understanding of social work principles and developed a passion for helping underserved populations.

    Vanessa has been a part of Parkside Family Counseling since 2013. She received a Bachelor's Degree in elementary and special education and a Master's Degree in school and community counseling. Before coming to Parkside Family Counseling, Vanessa worked 2 years as an elementary teacher and 5 years as a special education teacher for students with emotional and cognitive impairments, autism, Down’s syndrome, and learning disabilities.

    Quincy Johnson Jr. is a dedicated youth advocate, mentor, mental health professional committed to empowering young people and strengthening communities. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, graduated from Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School and relocated to Adrian, Michigan, in 2020 to continue his academic and athletic career. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and later pursued a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Siena Heights University, graduating in 2026.

    Heather Lucey is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she obtained her Master of Social Work Degree and subsequently became a Licensed Master Social Worker. Heather has interned with the Lenawee County Intermediate School District, and has worked as a clinical therapist with Family Counseling and Children’s Services.

Since 2020, I have gained experience across various social work fields, including Child Protective Services, Foster Care and Adoption, Social Emotional Learning Coaching, and as an Outpatient Therapist. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy and given me a well-rounded understanding of the challenges individuals and families face.
