    Kathleen Johnson Betzoldt, MA, LPC serves Parkside as the Lead Outpatient Therapist.  Kathy has over 44 years in health care, hospital social services/discharge planning and crisis intervention.   She is well connected to Lenawee County resources and serves as an advocate and educator with several local agencies.

    Alicia began working with Parkside in 2014. She earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Michigan.  She is a proud Adrian College Bulldog graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.   Alicia provides supervision for school-based clinical social work services in local schools and works administratively at the Parkside offices.

    Kat began working with Parkside in 2015. She earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Michigan specializing in children and youth and with a minor in management. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. Kat recently completed her certification for becoming an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. (CAADC)

    Vanessa has been a part of Parkside Family Counseling since 2013. She received a Bachelor's Degree in elementary and special education and a Master's Degree in school and community counseling. Before coming to Parkside Family Counseling, Vanessa worked 2 years as an elementary teacher and 5 years as a special education teacher for students with emotional and cognitive impairments, autism, Down’s syndrome, and learning disabilities.

Along with working as a therapist at Parkside, Rachel currently works at the University of Michigan School of Social Work as a consultant researcher.

    Elizabeth Kelly has joined the Parkside Family Counseling as of January 2022. Elizabeth is personally in long term addiction recovery.  Elizabeth is a MDHHS Certified Peer Recovery Coach. Recovery is a lifestyle and a passion for Elizabeth. Meeting people where they are at in their individual journey and helping them find the path that benefits them most is how she chooses to approach recovery coaching. She utilizes her personal history of struggles, achievements, and experiences to help educate, inspire and encourage others in their own recovery. Elizabeth is also a wife and mother; she lives in Adrian with her husband Austin and their 3 young children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and reading.

    Mark joined Parkside after a varied career of full time social work jobs, most recently working with high school students and their families.  He has worked in community mental health, private contractual, hospital and substance abuse treatment settings.  Working part time at Parkside allows Mark to engage in outdoor activities and have a more balanced lifestyle including adequate exercise and other aspects of taking care of himself.
