Family Counseling, LLC
Sandy has been a part of Parkside Family Counseling since 2012. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Siena Heights University, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University where she concentrated in mental health and chemical dependency. Prior to working with the Parkside Family Counseling team, Sandy has had experience working with individuals in crisis, and those suffering from chemical dependency.
At Parkside Family Counseling, Sandy works individually with children, teens and adults; however, she believes that in order to best serve a client, it is necessary to work with the whole family. When working with clients, she utilizes various therapeutic approaches depending on clients’ needs, including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and motivational interviewing.
When Sandy isn’t working at Parkside, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and going to live theater.
