Family Counseling, LLC
Linda began working with Parkside Family Counseling in April 2017. She previously worked as a Clinical Therapist at Family Counseling and Children Services of Lenawee since 2014.
Linda graduated from Siena Heights University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling. She returned to Siena Heights University to earn a second Major in Clinical Mental Health in 2016. Linda also completed a Certificate in Gerontology in May 2017.
Before coming to Parkside Family Counseling, Linda interned at Family Counseling and Children Services of Lenawee and the Catherine Cobb Safe House in Adrian. She also interned with Resident Activities at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Michigan.
At Parkside Family Counseling, Linda works with a variety of populations while providing services to individuals, couples, and families. Her experience includes counseling adults, children, and families residing in a domestic violence shelter, group work with males within a Domestic Violence Awareness Program, and additional knowledge and sensitivity in working with individual children one on one and the college-aged population facing life adjustments and struggles.
Linda believes that counseling involves the sharing of personal problems, concerns, and stories with a professional who is skilled at helping the client or clients come to a resolution or solution about the particular situation. She assists the client in setting general goals, identifying the issues, developing a plan of action, and then implementing that plan which is a very personal process.
When Linda is not working at Parkside, she enjoys taking short road trips with her husband Michael or spending time with her five adult children and their spouses, and with her six grandsons. Linda enjoys flowers and being outdoors, reading, exercising, and enjoying good food with family and friends.
